How does Energy rental save TRON transfer fees, and what does TRX mean?

TRON Energy rental supplies a resource used by smart contracts, including TRC20 USDT transfers. TRX Energy rental commonly means paying TRX to rent that TRON resource; TRX is the network's native token, not a separate kind of Energy. Renting can reduce the TRX burned when the sending wallet lacks Energy if the rental costs less than the Energy burn it replaces. Whether it saves money depends on the Energy shortfall and live quote; bandwidth and address activation costs remain separate. Native TRX transfers primarily use bandwidth; renting Energy does not reduce their bandwidth fees.

Does TRONow support Energy rental API integration?

Yes. The merchant API at https://api.tronow.io/openapi/v1 supports live quotes, balance-funded orders, order queries and signed webhooks. Register and reach at least 20 TRX in cumulative credited deposits to activate API access. Each on-chain deposit must be at least 10 TRX in native TRX on TRON Mainnet; smaller transfers are not credited, and each order still requires enough balance. The public contract is https://tronow.io/developers/openapi.yaml, with a Node.js reference client and an AI integration Skill also available.

How do I judge a cheap rental price, and is the API cheaper?

Compare wallet and authenticated account API prices at the same time for the same quantity and one-hour duration. Then compare the rental charge plus remaining network fees with the estimated TRX burn plus other network fees without a rental. Use the actual purchase price for at least 65,000 Energy even if the shortfall is smaller. Public API reference prices do not apply to every account. The wallet payment quote or accepted POST /orders amount confirms the final price. TRONow does not guarantee the lowest market price or a fixed savings percentage.

Does an accepted API request mean the Energy arrived?

No. Order acceptance starts processing. Store the returned order ID, query its status or process the verified callback, and inspect delivery evidence before treating it as completed. A request timeout also does not prove failure.

For developers

Do I have to register to buy Energy?

The website offers wallet direct purchase when a valid quote is available. Merchant API use requires an account and activation. A disabled purchase button or unavailable quote is not a payment instruction; wait for an available quote before sending funds.

Which wallet should I enter?

Enter the TRON wallet that will send the payment and receive the Energy. Use your own wallet and the exact address shown in the payment flow. An exchange withdrawal may come from a different sender and cannot reliably match the entered wallet.

When can I use the merchant API?

The API becomes available after cumulative credited funds reach at least 20 TRX. This is an activation threshold, not a per-request charge or a promise that 20 TRX will cover a particular workload. Your available balance must also cover each order. Each on-chain balance top-up must be at least 10 TRX in native TRX on TRON Mainnet; smaller transfers are not credited.

Why are there 65K and 131K choices?

They are presets for selecting Energy quantity. Actual contract consumption depends on the transaction and chain state. Custom Energy is supported when a quote is available. All currently offered purchases use a fixed one-hour rental. Minimum purchase: 65,000 Energy, including custom quantities.

Why does my merchant account have no deposit address?

A dedicated address is assigned automatically after registration. If no unused address is available, your account is still created and the deposit page retries automatically. Once the pool is replenished, your address appears. Contact Telegram support if you need help.
